Cupping is an ancient Chinese technique where glass cups are placed on the skin and a suction is created to draw the skin and muscles up into the cup. The cup may be left in the one location, or drawn over the skin with the use of massage oil. The suction stimulates circulation, aids in lymphatic drainage and assists in tissue repair.
Cupping is often used for areas of pain or restricted movement, respiratory conditions including chronic coughs and asthma, digestive conditions like constipation, and skin conditions such as varicose veins, stretchmarks and detoxification.
